
Baseball Trio Earns Mountain West Scholar-Athlete Distinction

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., - Air Force baseball lands a trio of players, Cole Jenkins, Tyler Russ, and J.D. Wolff, on the Spring Mountain West Scholar-Athlete team, as released by conference officials on Thursday afternoon.
To be considered a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete, the student must have completed at least two semesters or three quarters at the certifying, member institution and must have a cumulative grade point average, at the member institution, of 3.50 or higher.
Rising sophomore, Cole Jenkins, earned his first Scholar-Athlete accolades after playing in six games during his freshman campaign. The Systems Engineering major took three starts and finished with a batting average of .571, four hits, and four runs scored.
Tyler Russ, an Operations Research major, wrapped up his freshman year as a Scholar-Athlete selection, though he did not compete.
J.D. Wolff was named a Scholar-Athlete for the first time in his career. The Foreign Area Studies major appeared in five games during his freshman season, making his collegiate debut at #15 Vanderbilt.
