Air Force Drops Conference Finale at San Jose State, 2-0

SAN JOSE – Falcon men's soccer fell to San Jose State in the Western Athletic Conference season finale, 2-0, Sunday afternoon at Spartan Soccer Field. Air Force finalizes the WAC slate at 0-6-1 with a 1-12-3 mark overall. SJSU, the No. 4 seed in the post season tournament, caps the regular season at 10-3-4 (3-2-2 WAC).
The Spartans put up a goal in each half, Arnold Matshazi scoring first in the 20th minute. Angel Iniguez scored the second goal in the 52nd minute with help from Amir Anwary.
Air Force goalie Brody Smith made five saves in goal. The Falcons were able to fire off just two shot attempts, C4C Ben Brophy taking the only shot on target. SJSU attempted 18 (7) shots.
Air Force will play the 2025 campaign finale at Pacific University on Wednesday, November 5. Action at Knoles Field is slated for 7:30 pm MT.
The 2025 WAC Men's Soccer Tournament will kick off with a pair of quarterfinal matches on Nov. 9, featuring No. 3 seed GCU (9-3-4, 3-1-3 WAC) against No. 6 seed Utah Valley (8-3-3, 2-3-2 WAC) at 4 p.m. PT. No. 4 seed San José State (10-3-4, 3-2-2 WAC) and No. 5 seed San Diego State (7-8-2, 3-2-2 WAC) will follow at 7 p.m. PT on Nov. 9. The winner of match one will face No. 2 Utah Tech on Nov. 12 at 4 p.m. PT in the first semifinal. The winner of match two will square off with No. 1 CBU at 7 p.m. PT in the second semifinal on Nov. 12. The championship match is slated for Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. PT.
