Texas Tanner qualified to the finals of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in both the discus and hammer throw during a strong weekend of action at the West Prelim in Fayetteville, Arkansas. With a Facility Record throw of 74.49 meters, Tanner won the 48-thrower regional to return to the NCAA finals in the hammer on May 27, before securing a return trip to nationals in the discus with a fourth place throw of 57.04 meters on May 29.
