Air Force Sets Program Division I Attendance Record in 2010
Nov. 29, 2010
USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - With a total season attendance of 7,045 fans, the Falcons set a new Division I attendance record for the program. During head coach Matt McShane's first season at the helm, Air Force fans shattered the previous record of 5,613 fans that was set last year. This season, the Falcons averaged 640 fans in the new Falcon Court at East Gym during the team's 11 home matches.
Highlighting the single-season attendance mark were five of the 15 most-attended matches in the program's Division I history. An East Gym record 1,284 fans packed the stands during the Falcons' Oct. 9 match with Wyoming. It marked the second time this year that Air Force surpassed 1,000 fans at a match, as the 2010 squad debuted in front of that total in late August.
