    BYU QUICK HITS
The Cougars have a split record at 13-13, as well as an even 7-7 record in conference action. BYU is led by Kayla Walker, who averages nearly four kills per set (3.84) to lead the league. She also averages a conference-high 4.30 points per set. The Cougars also lead the league in individual blocks, as Nicole Warner averages 1.25 blocks per set. BYU has lost three of its last four matches.

    UTAH QUICK HITS
Despite losing three of their last four matches, the Utes are 16-10 overall and 9-5 in Mountain West Conference play, although Utah will travel to San Diego State prior to its match against the Falcons. Karolin Bartkowiak leads the squad with 3.05 kills per set, while Danielle Killpack has a team-leading .291 hitting percentage. Defensively, Killpack leads the team in blocks, as she averages 1.23 stops per set.

    HISTORY 101
Air Force hasn't fared well against its foes from the Beehive State in the past, holding a 1-47 all-time record against the pair. The Falcons have never defeated the Utes in 24 attempts, and are just 1-23 against the Cougars. Air Force's only victory in either series came during a four-set win at BYU during the 2002 season. However, in the first meeting this season, the Falcons took a set from Utah for the first time since 2005.

    SENIOR SALUTE
Prior to its match with Utah, Air Force will honor its two senior members. Michelle Harrington has been a four-year starter for the Falcons, while Nicole Hartig was a member of the rotation as a freshman before becoming the Falcons' head manager.

    GETTING THE WIN
With a 25-19 victory in the first set against San Diego State, Air Force claimed its third set win of the season. The Falcons, who also took sets from Utah in Salt Lake City and TCU at the Academy, have equaled their best single-season `set' win total since 2005.

    GOING FOR TWO
Junior Caroline Kurtz picked up double-digit total in kills and digs for the ninth time this season, as she amassed 11 kills and 15 digs against San Diego State on Nov. 13. For the season, four different Falcons have recorded a double-double on 13 occasions in 2009.

    HANSEN STEPPING UP
Julia Hansen recorded a career-best .267 hitting percentage in the Falcons' four-set loss to the Aztecs on Nov. 13. The percentage, which led the team, came from connecting on seven of 15 attacks, while committing just three errors.
