USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force junior libero Maiya Perich became the Academy's Division I record holder for digs in a season during the Falcons' volleyball match against UNLV on Thursday, Nov. 11. With her second dig of the night, Perich broke the program mark that had stood since 1999.

Perich finished the night with 14 digs to bring her current season total to 368. The previous record of 355 had been held since 1999 by Tracy Wilkerson. Perich is the first Falcon to set a Division I single-season standard for the program since 2003.

For her career, which including splitting time at libero during her first two seasons, Perich has accounted for 816 digs. During last week's match at Boise State, she became just the fifth Division I Falcon to surpass the 800-dig total.

Air Force concludes the program's home schedule tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 12), when its hosts San Diego State at 5 p.m. at Falcon Court at East Gym.
