The Air Force volleyball team returns to the Academy this weekend for a pair of Mountain West contests. In their final home weekend series of the season, the Falcons will host Fresno State on Friday, Nov. 3, and San Diego State on Sunday, Nov. 5.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Air Force's two opponents will face each other in San Diego on Tuesday before making their respective trips to the Academy over the weekend. Fresno State is 9-15 on the season and fell to 4-8 in conference play after suffering a pair of three-set losses at San Jose State and Nevada over the weekend. San Diego State, in the midst of a four-match win streak, improved to 13-12 overall and 7-5 in Mountain West play after defeating Nevada (3-1) and San Jose State (3-0) on the road. Fresno State's Sydney Lostumo is ranked second in aces (0.38) and Haile Watson is tied for fourth in blocks (1.26), while the Bulldogs are listed second in team blocks (2.14). San Diego State is ranked third in the Mountain West in both kills (13.50) and assists (12.43), while also holding a top-five average in digs (fifth, 13.56). Individually, Deja Harris is ranked third in hitting (.350) and tied for fourth in blocks (1.26)
SERIES HISTORY | LAST TIME OUT
Air Force is 5-9 all-time against Fresno State and 5-37 in its lifetime series with San Diego State. Four of the Falcons' five victories over both the Bulldogs and Aztecs have come at the Academy. Air Force split its first meetings with the two schools earlier this season. The Falcons defeated Fresno State in five for the program's first-ever road win in the series (15-25, 26-24, 19-25, 25-15, 13-15), before dropping a four-set contest to San Diego State (14-25, 31-29, 20-25, 15-25).
Air Force is 4-9 all-time against Fresno State and 5-36 in its lifetime series with San Diego State. The Falcons defeated the Bulldogs at home in 2016, but have never won in Fresno. Air Force claimed a road victory during a season sweep of the Aztecs in 2015.
Air Force has one player from the state of California (Cambria Galloway, San Diego), while San Diego State has one player from Colorado (Erin Gillcrist, Lakewood).
Fans can receive discounted admission to both of this weekend's matches with a ticket from Saturday's Air Force-Army West Point football game. In addition, the Falcons' Alumni Weekend will take place on Nov. 3-5, the Air Force women's basketball team will be in attendance during Friday night's match, and Sunday is slated to be "Girl Scouts Day".
AIR FORCE IN THE CONFERENCE RANKINGS
After six weeks of Mountain West play, Piper Heineck and Abigail Miksch are ranked among the conference leaders in three different stat categories. Heineck is ranked second in hitting (.339), while Miksch is listed third in kills (3.87) and fourth in points (4.44). For the season, Heineck is listed eighth in blocks (1.13), ninth in hitting (.304) and 10th in aces (0.29), while Miksch is ranked eighth in kills (3.27). Denise Ssozi is ranked among the conference's top 10 in kills (seventh, 3.35) and points (10th, 3.80), while Shanleigh Conlan is listed 10th in assists (7.57).

Air Force travels to Idaho and Utah next week for its final two-match road trip of the season. The Falcons will face Boise State on Thursday, Nov. 10, before visiting Utah State on Saturday, Nov. 12.
