Air Force outside hitter Delavane Diaz earned Mountain West Conference Volleyball Co-Player of the Week honors.

A 5-10 senior from Tampa, Fla. (Berkeley Prep HS), Diaz paced the Falcons to their second straight tournament championship this season, highlighted by a conference and school single-match record 41 kills in a victory vs. Southern Miss. Diaz also posted 26 kills in a win over McNeese State and added 14 in a sweep of service academy rival Navy. Diaz had double-doubles in two of the three matches with 18 digs vs. McNeese State and 15 digs vs. Southern Miss.

For the week, Diaz averaged 7.38 kills and 3.73 digs per game, while tallying four aces and six blocks. Diaz, the Air Force Invitational MVP, recorded a .471 hitting percentage (41-9-68) vs. Southern Miss and hit .337 in the tournament. It was the second consecutive tournament MVP award for Diaz, who won the honor last week at the Georgia State Invitational.

The conference leader in kills per game (5.75), Diaz is the only player in the MWC to also rank in the league's top 10 for hitting percentage (8th), digs (6th) and aces (4th).

Diaz shares the award with BYU setter Lauren Richards.
