Volleyball Team Defeats Wisconsin-Green Bay, 3-0

ASAFA, Colo --The Air Force volleyball team snapped a five-match losing streak by defeating Wisconsin-Green Bay in three games Wednesday night at the Academy's East Gymnasium. The team swept the Phoenix 15-13, 15-4, 15-9 for the victory.

Seniors Shaylor Billings and Ana-Marie Ortega led the Falcons' attack, each notching a double-double in the victory. Billings had 17 kills and 11 digs, while Ortega had 13 kills and 11 digs.

Freshman Delavane Diaz also delivered a sensational performance, notching 15 kills and 24 digs. She leads the team in both categories.

The match was the team's final tune up before hosting the Air Force Classic tournament this weekend. The Falcons face Army, Prairie View A&M and Winthrop in the two-day tournament Sept. 15-16.
