The Air Force volleyball team will have their hands full as they head to California for the Fresno State Invitational, Sept. 6-7. They face tournament host Fresno State at 7:30 p.m. in the first day of the tournament. The Bulldogs are 4-0 and have not lost a game. Things don't get easier the second day, as they face No. 20 UC Santa Barbara, who is also undefeated and Nicholls State. "We play some tough teams, but it really isn't about who we are playing," said head coach Penny Lucas-White. "It's about us and improving our game and taking care of the things we need to take care of. Every team is beatable." The Falcons are off to a slow start, going 0-4 in their season-opening tournament, but the team has played well and statistically, have improved tremendously over last season.
"Overall, our team is playing better than last year," Lucas-White said. "Statistically, we are matching up with our opponents. It is just a matter of time before we are achieving all of our goals."
