Air Force Volleyball to Host Two Televised Matches

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Air Force volleyball team will host two televised matches this fall, the Mountain West Conference announced today (July 22) with the release of its 2010 volleyball television schedule. For the first time ever, the Falcons will compete in two nationally televised matches during a season. It will also mark the first TV contests at Air Force's new home venue, Falcon Court at East Gym.
The Falcons will host San Diego State on The Mtn - MountainWest Sports Network, before facing New Mexico on CBS College Sports Network. Both matches will air as a part of MWC double-headers on their respective dates.
With the release of the conference's broadcast schedule, several changes have been made to the Falcons' home calendar. Air Force's match with San Diego State on Thursday, Oct. 21, will now start at 7:30 p.m., while the original Oct. 30 match against New Mexico has been moved to Sunday, Oct. 31, to accommodate the TV schedule and will start at 4 p.m.
In addition, the Falcons' home match against TCU has been moved to from Thursday, Oct. 28, to Friday, Oct. 29. The match time remains the same at 7 p.m.
The Mtn. is carried nationally by DIRECTV (Channel 616) and numerous cable operators representing over 200 municipalities in nine states. CBS College Sports Network is widely available on cable systems and video providers across the country, and via satellite on DIRECTV (Channel 613) and Dish Network (Channel 152).
