Kim Kallabis Named MWC Scholar Athlete


    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- For the second straight season, Air Force volleyball player Kim Kallabis (Camino, Calif.) was named a Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete. This afternoon, the league office announced that 535 student-athletes from across the conference earned the distinction of scholar-athlete, including Kallabis and 51 other Falcons.

    To be considered a Mountain West Conference Scholar Athlete, they must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, completed at least two academic semesters and earned at least one varsity letter for their respective teams.

    Currently holding a 3.59 in aeronautical engineering, the junior-to-be played in 113 games as a sophomore, accounting for 0.77 assists per game, 1.80 digs per game and a team-best 0.30 service aces per game. A captain for the upcoming season, Kallabis is the most experienced player on the young team.
