Air Force Volleyball Welcomes Five to 2014 Roster

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force volleyball team added five players to its roster for the upcoming season, head coach Matt McShane announced today (June 26), as the Academy's Class of 2018 arrived for in-processing. This talented group of freshmen was the program's second recruiting class to receive High Honorable Mention honors from PrepVolleyball.com.
The website, which does a yearly ranking of the nearly 330 NCAA Division I volleyball recruiting classes, ranks the Top 30 programs, while 17 additional schools earn Highest Honorable Mention and another 30 receive High Honorable Mention. It is the second time in three years that the Air Force coaches have been recognized for their recruiting (2012).

In addition to the team distinction awarded by PrepVolleyball.com, Seitz was individually named to the website's 2014 Defensive Dandies list.
Following today's in-processing, Basic Cadet Training is divided into two phases. The first session takes place in the Cadet Area and focuses on military orientation, including basic military skills and responsibilities, improving physical conditioning and understanding teamwork through competitive sports. During the second phase, the Basics will march out to Jack's Valley, where they will focus on field training activities, while developing their mental and physical confidence training.
The volleyball team opens its season on August 29-31, when it hosts Cal, Rutgers, SIUE and Winthrop during the first of two tournaments at Cadet East Gym.
