Falcons Fall to Boise State in Straight Sets

    BOISE, Idaho - The Air Force volleyball team wrapped up a busy stretch of conference action with a 3-0 loss to Boise State on Sunday, Oct. 20. The Falcons, playing their third match in a four-day span, was swept for the first time this month as the Broncos took the match in straight 25-22, 25-13, 25-18 sets.

    Sophomore Maggie Sherrill, who paced the team with 10 kills, was one of two Falcons to hit over .400 in the match (10k-3e-17a), as junior Ayesha Hein paced the team with a .417 average on five kills and no errors on 12 attempts. Classmate Hillary Keltner accounted for 28 of the team's 34 assists, while joining Hein, senior Cami Richan and sophomore Taylor Parker as the Falcons' blockers (one assisted block each). Richan also accounted for the team's lone service ace, while sophomore Rebecca Bates paced the team with eight digs.

    Air Force returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 24), when it hosts Nevada for its only contest of the week.
