FRESNO, Calif. - With a career-best 53 assists, Air Force junior Hillary Keltner moved into second on the Academy's Division I list for career assists on Saturday, Oct, 19, as the volleyball team dropped a 3-1 conference contest to Fresno State (21-25, 25-22, 18-25, 18-25) at the Save Mart Center in Fresno.
Keltner matched the tally she first recorded against Long Beach State in early September, as she assisted on 53 of the team's 57 total kills. With those assists, the team co-captain, who added two kills, one block and a season-best two service aces to her stat line, brought her career total to 2,226 and moved over Tharommony In for second on the program's Division I career list.
Sophomore Maggie Sherrill was Keltner's primary target today, tallying a career-high 19 kills. Classmate Akokwe Clement (13) and senior Cami Richan (10) also added double-figure kill totals, as the trio combined for 42 of the team's kills. Recording six kills and no errors on 11 swings, sophomore Taylor Parker led all players with a career-best .545 clip.
The Falcons continued to improve on their overall hitting, as the squad combined for a .269 average. That average bettered the mark of .246 that it registered on Thursday at San Jose State.

Sophomore libero Rebecca Bates led the team with 18, while classmate Rachael Bradley-Powers added a career-best 14, senior Josalynn Wise picked up a season-high 11 and junior Emma Dridge added 10.
