    Air Force Adds 11 to Volleyball Team

    The recruiting class earned High Honorable Mention distinction from PrepVolleyball.com.

    FRESHMAN YEAR | 2012: Played in 43 sets...was in the starting rotation for 10 matches...one of three freshmen to open the season in the starting lineup...hit a team-leading clip of .769 at Nevada, connecting on 10 of 13 attempts with no errors...that kill total was a career high...tallied at least one kill in 14 of 16 matches played...recorded 29 total blocks, including three solo stops...tallied three blocks (two solo, one assisted) in collegiate debut at Rice...added another solo block at home against Colorado State...recorded a career-best four assisted stops against Wyoming...recorded eight digs, highlighted by a two-dig output against Colorado...added one assist (at Nevada) and one service ace (at Colorado State).

    PERSONAL: Full name is Raquel Renee Rosas...nickname is Rockie...daughter of Rocky and Sandra Rosas...has three younger siblings: Regina, Rocky and Reese...majoring in biology...future career plans include becoming a physical therapist, because "as an athlete, I have dealt with my fair share of injuries and understand how frustrating recovery can be. However, instead of working on recuperation from injuries, I would like to focus on injury prevention and encouraging proper body mechanics"...hobbies include drawing, ultimate Frisbee and playing card games...also enjoys listening to Spanish music, especially by Enrique Iglesias and Shakira...member of Cadet Squadron 20.
