Four members of the 2011 Air Force volleyball team were named to the Mountain West Academic All-Conference Team, the league office announced today (Jan. 26). Claiming her first academic all-conference honor, freshman Ayesha Hein paced all Academy honorees with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

The Air Force volleyball team closed out the 2011 season with a 3-0 loss to Cal State Northridge on Friday, Nov. 25, in Northridge, Calif. Freshman Ayesha Hein paced the Falcons with nine kills during a 25-19, 25-16, 27-25 loss to the Matadors.

The Air Force volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to No. 18 Pepperdine on Tuesday, Nov. 22, in Malibu, Calif. With seven kills, sophomore Cami Richan paced the Falcons, who fell in straight 25-9, 25-6, 25-10 sets to the Waves.

The Air Force volleyball team closes out the 2011 season this week with a pair of non-conference road contests in California. The Falcons will face 18th-ranked Pepperdine at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu on Tuesday, Nov. 22, before traveling to Northridge on Friday, Nov. 25, to face Cal State Northridge at The Matadome.
