The Air Force volleyball team dropped a 3-0 contest to Utah State this evening (Oct. 30) on the road in Logan, Utah. The Falcons suffered just their fourth sweep of the season, falling to the host Aggies in straight 25-18, 25-20, 25-20 sets.
The Air Force volleyball team heads back out on the road this week for a pair of Mountain West matches. The Falcons (11-13, 5-5) will travel to Logan, Utah, on Thursday (Oct. 30) for a rematch with Utah State at 7:00 p.m., before heading to Boise, Idaho, for a 2:00 p.m., contest against Boise State on Saturday (Nov. 1) afternoon.
Air Force junior Taylor Parker was named the Mountain West Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday, Oct. 27, after leading the Falcons to conference victories over San Jose State and Nevada. Parker hit .524 for the week, while recording a career-high total in kills and debuting on the program's Division I list for assisted blocks.
The Air Force volleyball team evened its conference record this afternoon (Oct. 25) with a 3-1 victory over Nevada at the Academy's East Gym. With the team hitting at a combined .355 clip, the Falcons downed the visiting Wolfpack 25-18, 25-20, 18-25, 25-16 to improve to 5-5 in the Mountain West and 11-13 overall.
The Air Force volleyball team snapped a five-match skid this evening (Oct. 23) with a 3-1 victory over San Jose State at the Academy's East Gym. Backed by 37 combined kills from juniors Akokwe Clement, Taylor Parker and Maggie Sherrill, the Falcons downed the visiting Spartans in 23-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-13 sets.
