After winning the first set by a 25-19 margin, the Falcons dropped the final three sets by 25-11, 25-18, 25-22 scores. Volleyball With just two weeks left in the season, the Air Force volleyball team will embark on its longest homestand of 2009. This week, the Falcons host travel partner San Diego State in Mountain West Conference action on Friday, Nov. 13. It is just the third time this season that the Falcons have played only one match during the week. Action is slated for an early 5 p.m., start time at the Academy's Clune Arena. Volleyball In its final road contest of the season, the Air Force volleyball team lost a 3-0 decision to Wyoming on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Laramie, Wyo. Volleyball Despite a furious rally in the final set, Air Force dropped a 3-0 decision to Colorado State on Thursday, Nov. 5, in Fort Collins, Colo. After falling 25-17 and 25-12 during the first two sets, the Falcons dropped a narrow, hard-fought 27-25 decision in the final set to Colorado State, which at 19-4, are receiving votes in the weekly AVCA Coaches' Poll. Volleyball Air Force volleyball junior Caroline Kurtz (Albuquerque, N.M.) was named to the ESPN The Magazine University Division Academic All-District VII second-team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced today (Nov. 5). Volleyball The Air Force volleyball team opens the final month of the season with a pair of road trips to Mountain West Conference opponents. The Falcons first travel to Fort Collins, Colo., on Thursday, Nov. 5, for a matchup with Colorado State, before heading to Laramie, Wyo., on Saturday, Nov. 7, to take on Wyoming. The match with the Rams will take place at 7 p.m., while the showdown with the Cowgirls will take place at 7:30 p.m. [+]
