Backed by an Academy-best 35 blocks, the Air Force volleyball team closed out its 2014 home slate with a 3-2 win over Fresno State on Wednesday, Nov. 19. In their only matchup of the season, the Falcons defeated the Bulldogs by a 25-17, 22-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-7 margin to finish the home season with a winning (9-8) record.
The Air Force volleyball team closes out its home schedule this week with a single contest at the Academy's Cadet East Gym. The Falcons will host Fresno State on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the only meeting of the season between the two schools. Action is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m.
The Air Force volleyball team recorded a season-high 22 blocks during a close 3-1 loss to Wyoming this afternoon (Nov. 15) in Laramie. With three of the four sets decided by the minimum two points, the Falcons fell in 26-24, 23-25, 26-28, 12-25 sets to close out its final full week of the season.
The Air Force volleyball team matched its season high with eight service aces in a 3-0 loss to ninth-ranked Colorado State on Thursday, Nov. 13, in Fort Collins. After dropping the opening set by a narrow 27-25 margin, the Falcons fell by 25-18 and 25-17 scores in the final two sets.
The Air Force volleyball team heads north this week for its final full week of the regular season. The Falcons open the week in Fort Collins, Colo., on Thursday, Nov. 13, when they face ninth-ranked Colorado State at 7:00 p.m., and then travel to Laramie, Wyo., for a 1:00 p.m., contest at Wyoming on Saturday, Nov. 15.
