    Air Force seniors Gina Black and Laura Nigro advanced to the doubles semifinals of the St. Mary's College Women's Tennis Invitational Sunday before being eliminated from the tournament by Margarita Kaurnikhova and Marta Gronowicz of Sacramento State, 8-4.

    The Falcon duo, seeded No. 3 in the tournament, defeated Kristen Case and Jessica Shu of California, 8-2 in the quarterfinals earlier in the day.

    Black, meanwhile, split her two matches in the consolation singles bracket as well on Sunday. She beat Audrey Wingo of UC Davis in the quarterfinals, 7-5, 6-1, before falling to Gronowicz, 6-2, 6-2 in the semis.

    Air Force returns to the court on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at the Omni Hotels Regional Tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah.
