Falcons Head to Vegas for ITA Mountain Regionals

    The Air Force women's tennis team will send seven players to the ITA Mountain Region Championships in Las Vegas, Nev., beginning Wednesday, Oct. 14 at the Darling Tennis Center. The Falcons will join players from 20 other schools in the region for the five-day tournament.

    Juniors Christen Monreal, Katrina Eromin and Sarah Cassman will join freshmen Melissa Cecil, Hannah Dake and Christine Molina in the singles competition. Cecil enters the tournament with the team's best record at 6-2. She went 3-1 at the USAFA Invitational earlier this month and finished third in her flight.

    Sophomore Allie Chermel will play doubles in place of Cecil and will partner with Dake. Cassman and Molina will also play together as will Monreal and Eromin.

    The other Mountain Region teams joining the Falcons in Las Vegas are BYU, Boise State, Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Nevada, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Southern Utah, UNLV, Utah, Utah State, Weber State and Wyoming.
