    Air Force senior Laura Nigro advanced to the finals of the top flight Saturday with a pair of victories at the 2003 USAFA Women's Tennis Invitational at the Academy. Fellow senior Gina Black also won two singles matches and will play in the finals of the flight #2 bracket.

    Nigro will face Jenny Trettin of Denver in her final match at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12. The senior from Lincoln, Neb., won by default over Magali Risoleo of McNeese State and beat Rachel Sackmaster of Denver, 7-5, 6-4 in the semifinals. Trettin defeated Air Force sophomore Kat Bushey, 6-4, 6-1 in the semis. Bushey will play Sackmaster on Sunday for third place.

    Black, meanwhile, won by default over Beth Messaros of Denver and defeated Lakann Wagley of Texas Tech, 6-1, 6-1 to advance to her final against Karolina Rowinski of Wyoming. Wagley will face teammate Tara Browning for third place.

    Singles matches begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, followed by the final round of doubles.
