Smoke and Cecil Selected for All-American Championships
Duo to play doubles in Los Angeles on Saturday

Air Force senior Tahlia Smoke and junior Melissa Cecil have been selected to compete at the 2011 Riviera/ITA Women's Tennis All-America Championships this weekend in Los Angeles, Calif.

The pair will compete in the pre-qualifying doubles draw of 32 teams on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 8 a.m., facing Anna Bartenstein and Gabriela Mejia of the University of Miami. The four teams that win three matches will advance to the tournament's 32-team qualifying tournament, which begins Tuesday, Oct. 4.

Smoke and Cecil are the first Falcons to participate at the All-America Championships since Laura Nigro and Gina Black played in 2003.
