Los Angeles, Calif. – Air Force sophomore TJ Fumagalli is slated to compete in both singles and doubles events at the Riviera All-American, Saturday morning, at Pepperdine University, California. Junior Elizabeth Barnickel joins Fumagalli in doubles action.
The second-seeded Fumagalli-Barnickel duo will take the upper courts at 9:00 a.m., at Pepperdine University. Following the doubles round, Fumagalli will meet with No. 9-16 seed Kelly Chen of Duke University, also in the upper courts of Pepperdine University, at 10:30 a.m.
The last Air Force doubles team to compete in Riviera All-American tournament was Natasha Rizvi and Tiffany Tram in 2014. Fumagalli joins the ranks of Falcon tennis alumni Brooke Parsons and Laura Nigro, as the only players to compete in both singles and doubles at this event in 19 years. The feat ranks Fumagalli amongst the top-five percent of all players in the nation.
