The Air Force women's tennis team plays in its second tournament of the fall this weekend at the Red Raider Shootout hosted by Texas Tech University. The two-day tournament will begin on Friday, Oct. 1 at the McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Last weekend at the Wyoming Cowgirl Invitational, junior Kat Bushey and sophomore Karissa Walker advanced to the semifinals of the doubles draw before falling to Tea Spirta and Danielle King of UTEP, 8-4.

Bushey, who defeated Nicole Luetolf of Montana State in the first round of the Flight "A" singles bracket, fell in the semis to Spirta in a tough three-set match, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. Bushey was the only Falcon to advance past the first round of the winners bracket.

Next weekend, the Falcons return to Colorado Springs for the USAFA Fall Invitational, an eight-team, three-day event that begins on Friday, Oct. 8 at the Academy.
