The Air Force women's tennis team continues its fall season this weekend by splitting its squad for two separate tournaments. Most of the team will head to Provo, Utah for the BYU Invitational beginning Thursday, Sept. 18. The Falcons will join players from BYU, Utah, Boise State, Utah State, Weber State and Colorado State. Three players, freshmen Tahlia Smoke, Allie Chermel and Megumi Voight, will play at the Colorado Invitational in Boulder, Colo. That tournament begins on Friday, Sept. 19.

Last weekend, Air Force opened its 2008-09 season at the Gopher Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn. Sophomore Sarah Cassman led the Falcons with three singles wins, including a dramatic, three-set win after rallying from a 6-2, 5-0 deficit. Fellow sophomore Samantha Sarkis won both of her singles matches before suffering an injury and withdrawing.

Daily updates from both tournaments will be available at www.goairforcefalcons.com.
