    The Air Force Academy will host the 2011 United States Tennis Association (USTA)/West Boys/Girls 14 Zone Team Championships, featuring top junior tennis players from across the western United States from July 27-31.

    12 teams will compete in the five-day event, which emphasizes singles, doubles, and mixed doubles play. Players will be given the opportunity to develop their skills and maximize their growth and maturity against top level opponents. Approximately 2,500 matches will be played during the five days.

    The tournament consists of top-ranked 13 and 14 year olds from the following sections:

    INTERMOUNTAIN (2 teams; Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, Idaho and Montana)

    PACIFIC NORTHWEST (2 teams; Washington and Oregon)

    HAWAII (1 team)

    NORTHERN CALIFORNIA (2 teams)

    SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (5 teams)
