Morgan Named Women's Tennis Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year


    Junior Kelly Morgan has been named the Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year for women's tennis. The award goes to the tennis athlete who best demonstrates the commitment to the tennis strength and conditioning program as a method to improve her performance and reduce her opportunity for injury. This year, Morgan had a 21" vertical jump, bench pressed 105 lbs, squatted 165 lbs, cleaned 126 lbs, and had a power index of 318.9.

    The Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year is awarded annually to one cadet-athlete from each team. Athletes chosen must exemplify specific qualities in the weight room. These qualities consist of leadership ability, work ethic, intensity, winning attitude, and attendance.
