    THIS WEEK
The Air Force women’s tennis team travels to San Diego, Calif., for the 2012 Mountain West Tennis Championships. The fifth-seeded Falcons will take on the fourth-seed and 62nd-ranked Wyoming Cowgirls on Thursday, April 26 at 10 a.m. (PT). The fifth-place finish for Air Force this season is the best since moving to Division I in 1996.

AIR FORCE HEAD COACH Kim Gidley
Air Force head coach Kim Gidley is in her 14th season at the helm of Air Force’s women’s tennis program. The first civilian head coach in the history of the program, Gidley became the winningest coach in the history of the program in 2003 with her 76th victory. She recorded her 100th career victory during the 2005-06 season against South Dakota State and has a 182-194 career record.

    LAST TIME OUT
The Falcons split a pair of matches at home last weekend to end the regular season. Air Force defeated Colorado State 6-1 for its third conference win, the most in one season since moving to Division I. The Falcons then lost to Wyoming 5-2 in the regular-season finale.
Freshmen Tiffany Tran and Natasha Rizvi each won three of her four matches during the weekend. Tran won both of her matches at No. 4 singles, including a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-2, (10-2) win over Wyoming’s Sasa Nemcova. Rizvi, meanwhile, won both of her No. 2 doubles matches with Hannah Dake and the duo went 6-1 at the No. 2 spot against Mountain West opponents this season.
