The Air Force women's tennis team continues Mountain West Conference play with the final two home matches of the season this weekend. The Falcons will face New Mexico on Saturday, April 16 at 2 p.m., then will complete the home slate on Sunday, April 17 against TCU at 10 a.m. Both matches are scheduled, weather permitting, for the Academy's outdoor courts.

The Falcons will host Campus Kids Day during its match on Saturday. T-shirts, pizza and soda will be provided and facepainting will be offered. Also, kids will be able to hit for prizes in between the doubles and singles matches. AFA's mascot "The Bird" as well as two of Air Force's live falcons will also be at the match.

Air Force, in the midst of a four-match losing streak, is 14-8 overall and 0-4 in conference play. The Falcons' four MWC losses have come to the top four teams which have a combined 19-1 league record so far this spring.

Senior Sarah Cassman is in search of some history this weekend. She is one singles victory away from becoming the first Air Force women's tennis player to win at least 20 overall singles matches in each of her four seasons since the program moved to Division I in 1996. Cassman enters the weekend with a 19-17 overall record this season.

Cassman and fellow senior Christen Monreal will be honored in a pre-match ceremony prior to the TCU match on Sunday.

New Mexico is 7-12 and 0-5 in league play entering the weekend. The Lobos will play Colorado State on Thursday and Wyoming on Friday, both at the Academy, before facing the Falcons.

TCU, meanwhile, is 7-10 overall and 2-3 in the MWC, defeating New Mexico and BYU. The Horned Frogs will play Colorado State on Friday at the Academy.
