The No. 22 TCU women's tennis team shut out Air Force, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Horned Frogs improved to 10-5 overall and 2-0 in the Mountain West Conference, while the Falcons fell to 8-13 and 1-3 in the MWC.

Helena Besovic and Ana Cetnik picked up the first win of the afternoon with an 8-1 victory over Air Force's Kat Bushey and Christine Abayan at the No. 1 doubles spot. Karine Ionesco and Gloriann Lopez clinched the doubles point for TCU with an 8-4 victory versus Erika Shortridge and Kelly Morgan at No. 3. The Frogs made it three-for-three in doubles after Andrea Morgado and Anna Sydorska downed Meghan Kiser and Lauren Wilson, 8-2, at No. 2.

Besovic, ranked 35th in the ITA singles poll, was first off the court in singles play, downing Wilson 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 2 position. Nichols followed with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Shortridge at No. 4.

TCU clinched its second-straight Mountain West Conference victory after 11th-ranked Leimbach defeated Bushey 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1. Lopez recorded her second victory of the afternoon with a 6-4, 6-1 triumph on court No. 5 over Air Force's Morgan. Cetnik posted a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 3 over Abayan and Ionesco tallied the final win for the Frogs by a score of 6-4, 6-4 over Kiser.

Air Force takes a couple of weeks off before its next MWC match on Saturday, April 8 against UNLV in San Diego, Calif. The match begins at 10 a.m. (PT).
