    Air Force Match Notes Get Acrobat Reader

    THIS WEEK
     The Air Force women's tennis team plays its second Mountain West match of the season on Saturday, March 16 against the 70th-ranked Wyoming Cowboys in Laramie, Wyo. The Falcons, winners of eight straight matches, enter the match with a 12-4 overall record and a 1-0 mark in league play.


    AIR FORCE HEAD COACH Kim Gidley
     Air Force head coach Kim Gidley is in her 15th season at the helm of Air Force's women's tennis program. The first civilian head coach in the history of the program, Gidley became the winningest coach in the history of the program in 2003 with her 76th victory. She recorded her 100th career victory during the 2005-06 season and currently has a 196-199 career record.


    LAST WEEK
     The Falcons won four matches last week, including their first Mountain West match of the season over Colorado State, 6-1. Air Force also defeated Montana State (7-0), Northern Colorado (6-1) and Rhode Island (6-1).
     Air Force won 21 of 24 singles matches and 11 of 12 doubles matches in the four team matches last
    week.


    GREAT PERCENTAGES IN SINGLES AND DOUBLES
      The Falcons have won 70.8 percent of their singles matches (68-28) and 70.2 percent of their doubles matches (33-14) this spring in dual matches.


    UP NEXT
     Air Force travels to Fresno, Calif., for a pair of Mountain West matches against the two conference newcomers. The Falcons will face Fresno State on Friday, April 5 at 1:30 p.m. and Nevada on Saturday, April 6 at 9 a.m.
