Air Force looks for 10th win of season

Sophomore Christen Monreal has won 10 straight singles matches

The Air Force women's tennis team opens Mountain West Conference play on Saturday, March 7 against the Wyoming Cowgirls in Laramie, Wyo. The match is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

The Falcons are 9-8 this season after dropping a pair of heartbreaking, 4-3, matches to Xavier and UNC-Greensboro last Monday at the Academy. Sophomore Christen Monreal continues to be the most consistent player on the team. She has won 10 consecutive singles matches, most of them at the No. 2 position, and has won 11 of her last 12 doubles matches with freshman Allie Chermel.

Wyoming enters the match with a 3-5 record and has won the last four matches against the Falcons.
