The Air Force women's tennis team travels to Lincoln, Neb., this weekend to play three matches. The falcons, 3-9 this season, will play the University of Nebraska on Friday, Feb. 29 at 4 p.m., followed by Northern Iowa (11 a.m.) and Nebraska-Kearney (6 p.m.) on Saturday, March 1.
Air Force enters the weekend with a three-match losing streak, including two last weekend against UTEP (6-1) and New Mexico State (5-2). Freshman Christen Monreal provided the highlights for Air Force, winning at No. 6 singles against UTEP and No. 5 against NMSU. Monreal is 13-11 overall in singles play and 5-3 in dual matches.
Senior Lauren Wilson also posted a victory against New Mexico State, rallying from a set down to defeat Zeljka Juricek, 0-6, 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 2 spot. Wilson is 4-3 at No. 2 singles in '08.
Following this weekend's matches, the Falcons return home for a pair of contests on Friday, March 7 against Colorado College (9 a.m.) and North Texas (5 p.m.).
