Falcons Host Three Matches Beginning Friday


    The Air Force women's tennis team plays three matches at home this weekend. The Falcons (3-7) open the weekend with a contest against 65th ranked Texas tech on Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. Then on Saturday, Air Force hosts Abilene Christian at 9 a.m. and CSU-Pueblo at 1 p.m.

    The Falcons have lost four straight matches, including three consecutive 4-3 decisions. Senior Kat Bushey has been the hottest player for Air Force lately, winning six of her last seven matches at the No. 1 singles spot. She is 13-11 overall and 17-8 in doubles with freshman Christine Abayan. Abayan is 12-9 in singles.

    Junior Kelly Morgan played well last weekend, winning both of her doubles matches with sophomore Erika Shortridge and splitting her two singles matches.
