    Air Force sophomore Tahlia Smoke has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, announced today by the conference office. It is the first career weekly honor for Smoke.

    Smoke, a product of Belmar, N.J., posted Air Force's lone victory in a 6-1 loss to No. 60 Colorado. The sophomore, who became Air Force's first female player to achieve a Division I national singles ranking, improved to 6-0 in singles matches this season with a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-2 (10-7) victory over CU's Michala Jensen. Smoke is ranked #102 in the country in the first rankings of the spring season.

    The Falcons host Seattle University and Gonzaga this Friday, Jan. 22 at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., respectively, and South Dakota on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 12 p.m.
