Falcons Finish Play at Regional Tournament
Three players open at UNM Invitational on Friday

Senior Christine Abayan and junior Erlyn Rudico split a pair of matches Thursday at the Wilson/ITA Central Region Women's Tennis Championships in Salt Lake City. The Falcon duo won their first-round match, 8-4, over Caroline Drugge and Karlie Hancock of Weber State, but lost in the second round to Evgenia Kryuchkova and Leigh Walsh of Utah, 8-3.

In singles play, Abayan lost her first-round match in the main draw, 7-5, 6-1, to Klaudia Wlodarczyk of Boise State.

Three other Falcons, sophomores Samantha Sarkis and Katrina Eromin and freshman Allie Chermel will play at the UNM Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., beginning Friday, Oct. 17.
