Christine Abayan to play in main draw on Thursday

Two members of the Air Force women's tennis team lost in the first round of qualifying Wednesday at the 2008 Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships in Salt Lake City. Senior Meghan Kiser lost, 6-0, 6-2, to Yuliana Svistun of Kansas, while junior Erlyn Rudico dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision to Natalia Salum of New Mexico State.

Senior Christine Abayan will play her first-round match in the main singles draw on Thursday against Klaudia Wlodarczyk of Boise State while Abayan and Rudico will play Caroline Drugge and Karlie Hancock in the first round of the doubles draw.
