    One Air Force doubles team will play in the finals and three singles players are in third-place matches after the second day of the USAFA Women's Tennis Invitational at the Academy. The final round of singles matches will start at 9 a.m. Sunday, followed by the final round of doubles.

    In doubles play, senior Erlyn Rudico and freshman Christine Molina won a pair of matches Saturday to advance to the title match in the #3 flight. They defeated Jenny Whateley and Sydney Bell of Northern Colorado, 8-6, then downed Paloma Navarro of Wyoming and Erin Sanders of Colorado, 8-3 in the semis. Rudico and Molina will face the Wyoming duo of Rebecca Berger and Alexandra Kovacs in the final on Sunday. Meanwhile, sophomore Shannon Young and freshman Erin Conley will play for fifth-place in the same flight after defeating Whateley and Bell, 8-5.

    Elsewhere in doubles, Sophomore Allie Chermel and freshman Hannah Dake will play for fifth-place in the top flight on Sunday against Sabine Fuchs and Trudie Du Toit of Oregon. Chermel and Dake downed Tiffany and Tabitha Knop of Northern Colorado, 8-4, after losing their quarterfinal match, 8-5, to Abbie Probert and Ana Anuszkiewicz of Colorado. Junior Christen Monreal and freshman Melissa Cecil will play in the consolation final of flight #2 after an 8-3 victory Saturday over Laura Richardson and Amy Shipperd of New Mexico.

    Freshman Melissa Cecil will play for third place in the #2 singles flight against Erin Monson of Utah after falling in the semifinals to Abbie Probert of Colorado, 6-1, 6-3. Junior Sarah Cassman will play Michala Jensen in the third-place match of the #4 singles flight, while freshman Hannah Dake will face Oregon's Molly M'Devitt in the third-place match of the #6 flight.

    Junior Christen Monreal is in the consolation final of the #3 flight after rallying to beat Caitlin Fluegge of Colorado State, 2-6, 6-3, 10-4. Monreal will play Emmanuelle Cor of Oregon on Sunday.
