AFA Wraps Up Action at CU Invitational

    Freshman Lindsey Mueller captured the first victory of her career Sunday as the Air Force women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Colorado Invitational in Boulder, Colo. Mueller defeated Lindsey Gray of Arkansas, 6-0, 6-0, in her final pool-play match in her flight.

    The Falcons' doubles team of senior Erlyn Rudico and sophomore Shannon Young dropped a pair of tough doubles matches Sunday. First, they lost to Allie Wahba of Colorado and Lindsey Gray of Arkansas, 8-6, then fell to Annemijn Koenen and Adriana Nieto of Arkansas, 8-5.

    The falcons host the annual USAFA Invitational next weekend at the Academy. The tournament runs from Friday, Oct. 2 to Sunday, Oct. 4.
