Falcons Complete Play at Wyoming Invitational

The Air Force women's tennis completed play Saturday at the Wyoming Invitational in Laramie, Wyo. The Falcons dropped four of six singles matches to Montana State in singles, but rebounded to take two of three doubles matches from Northern Colorado in doubles on Saturday. On Friday, the Falcons split six singles matches against UNC and were swept by Montana State and lost three of four matches to Wyoming in doubles. Senior captain Kelly Morgan was the only Falcon to win both of her singles matches, defeating Christina Shelly of Northern Colorado, 6-3, 6-3, on Friday and Allison Fey of Montana State on Saturday. Morgan also teamed with sophomore Christine Abayan to take two of their three doubles matches. The duo beat Andrea House and Karolina Rowinski of Wyoming, 8-6, on Friday and Shelly and Meredith Krystofik of UNC on Saturday. Abayan and junior Lauren Wilson also posted singles wins against Northern Colorado on Friday, downing Karen Groll (6-4, 6-2) and Krystofik (3-6, 6-4, 10-8), respectively. Freshman Rachel Knight posted the team's only other singles victory, defeating Remy Clark of Montana State, 6-1, 6-2 on Saturday. In addition to Abayan and Morgan winning against UNC, Wilson paired with freshman Erlyn Rudico to beat Groll and Renee Nuccio, 8-5. The Falcons continue their fall schedule next weekend at the Texas Tech Invitational in Lubbock, Texas, starting Friday, Sept. 29. Wyoming Invitational Results Friday
