The Air Force women's tennis team will have two doubles teams and one singles player in the finals Sunday at the Bill and Sandra Moore Invitational hosted by the Naval Academy. Junior Marcelli Magday won two singles matches on Saturday, while Magday and junior Natasha Rizvi advanced to the "A" flight doubles final and senior Anastasia Hueffner and sophomore Mary Meyers will play in the "B" flight title match.
Magday will face Audrey Ann Blakely of Pittsburgh in the final of the "C" singles flight after winning her two matches on Saturday by the scores of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-2.
Junior Tiffany Tran narrowly missed the final of the "A" singles flight by dropping a 3-6, 6-4, (10-6) decision to Ksenija Tihomirova of Fairleigh Dickinson in the semis. Tran won her quarterfinal match 6-4, 3-6, (16-14) over Taylor Washington of Pitt earlier in the day.
In doubles, Rizvi and Magday defeated Amanda Wickman and Washington of Pitt, 8-6, in the "A" flight semis, while Hueffner and Meyers downed Olivia Lacy-Thompson and Erdenesuren Erdenebat of George Mason in the "B" flight semis.
