    The Air Force women's tennis team opened its 2011-12 season Friday at the College of Charleston Invite in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Junior Christine Molina posted two singles victories in the B1 singles flight and will play in the semifinals on Saturday.

    Molina opened the day with an easy 6-2, 6-1 over Harjit Gosal of Jacksonville University in the first round then downed Susita Das of Charleston Southern to advance to the semis. She will face Coastal Carolina's Dominique DeWit in the semifinals.

    Other Falcons that posted victories included senior Tahlia Smoke, sophomore Tasha Hueffner and freshman Tiffany Tran, who each won in the consolation bracket of her flight.

    Another round of singles and two rounds of doubles are scheduled for Saturday.
