Falcons Wrap up Day Two of Gopher Invitational
    Tournament concludes on Sunday

    The Air Force women's tennis team wrapped up day two at the 2006 Gopher Invitational at the Baseline Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota. The Falcons went 2-6 in singles play and captured one doubles match on Saturday.

    Junior Lauren Wilson and freshman Rachel Knight each captured a singles victory in the consolation round of the Gold Singles Bracket and will play each other on Sunday. Sophomore Christine Abayan, the only Falcon player in the top singles bracket, will face Hilary Mintz of Iowa for seventh place on Sunday.

    Abayan and senior captain Kelly Morgan posted the only doubles victory for Air Force, downing Diana Kuhla and Wiveca Swarting of Nebraska, 8-5, in the consolation round of the top doubles bracket.

    All four doubles teams dropped first round matches and will continue in the consolation bracket on Saturday.

    The final day of doubles begins at 9 a.m. and singles resumes at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
