    The Air Force women's tennis team lost its final regular-season home match Saturday, falling 4-2 to New Mexico State at the Academy. The match, which began at 5:30 a.m., opened with singles play due to men's matches already scheduled for 9 a.m. NMSU won four of the six singles matches to clinch the team victory and improve to 8-11 this season, while the Falcons fell to 10-13.

    All four of the Aggies' singles victories came in straight sets. Air Force's two wins were both in three sets. Sophomore Christine Abayan won the No. 1 match for AFA, defeating Zeljka Jurikek, 2-6, 6-3, 1-0(1), while senior Kelly Morgan won her 24th singles match of the season, also rallying for a 2-6, 6-1, 1-0(9) win over Anne Fagegaltier at No. 3.

    Nicole Fintell downed sophomore Meghan Kiser at the No. 2 spot, 6-4, 7-6, while Paulina Zuniga beat senior Karissa Walker, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 4.

    NMSU's Estelle Guillamond defeated junior Erika Shortridge, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5 and Aleksa Costa wrapped it up for NMSU with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over freshman Erlyn Rudico.

    The No. 1 doubles match was played as well, with Jurikek and Fintell defeating AFA's Morgan and Walker, 8-4.

    The Falcons return to Mountain West Conference action next weekend with a pair of matches in Albuquerque, N.M. Air Force opens the weekend against TCU on Saturday, April 14 at 1 p.m.
