Colorado State Defeats Air Force, 6-1

    The Air Force women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to the Colorado State Rams Sunday in Fort Collins, Colo. Senior Kelly Morgan won the only singles match for the Falcons for the second consecutive day. With the loss, Air Force fell to 10-12 overall and 0-6 in the Mountain West Conference.

    Morgan, who won the No. 4 match on Saturday against Utah, defeated CSU's Anette Pohjalainen, 6-1, 7-6(5), at the same position on Sunday. She also paired with fellow senior Karissa Walker to win the No. 2 doubles match, 8-2, over Lauren Strasberger and Laura Neal.

    Unfortunately for the Falcons, Colorado State won the other two doubles matches to claim the doubles point. The Rams also won five singles matches, four of them in straight sets. The only three-setter was at the No. 5 spot, where CSU's Greer Satherlie downed Walker, 6-3, 6-7(5), 1-0(6).

    The Falcons take a break from conference play to play their final regular season match at home next Saturday, April 7 against New Mexico State beginning at 1 p.m.
