Eastern Washington took an early 1-0 lead by winning at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles. Air Force senior Christine Abayan and junior Erlyn Rudico captured the Falcons' lone doubles win at the No. 1 spot, 9-7, over Marie Demerath and Caitlin Bampton.

"This was a hard-fought match for us," said Air Force head coach Kim Gidley. "In doubles I was especially pleased with Erlyn Rudico serving out the match to win a close 8-6 match. Christine Abayan continued her high energy into singles play to win in straight sets at No.1 singles, providing us the type of leadership we were expecting from our upperclassmen."
