Falcons Wrap Up Play at Regional Tourney

The Air Force women's tennis team completed the first day of the ITA Mountain Region Tournament at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas, Nev., Wednesday with mixed results. The Air Force women's tennis team wrapped up play at the USAFA Invitational Sunday with one second-place finish and two third-place finishes. Senior Erlyn Rudico and freshman Christine Molina finished second in the #3 doubles flight, while freshman Melissa Cecil was third in the #2 singles flight and fellow freshman Hannah Dake placed third in the #6 singles flight. The Air Force women's tennis team went 4-1 in doubles and advanced three players to the semifinals of their singles flights Friday on day one of the 2009 USAFA Invitational at the Academy. The tournament continues on Saturday with two rounds of doubles and one round of singles. Play begins at 9 a.m. on AFA's outdoor courts. [+]
