Falcons Head To Northern Colorado For Swimming Dual Meet

    The Air Force women's swimming and diving team returns to action this week, Dec. 7, with a dual meet versus Northern Colorado. The meet is slated to begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Butler-Hancock Athletic Center.

    Scouting the Falcons...
    The Air Force women's swimming and diving team last competed at the UCI/Nike Cup, Nov. 16-18, finishing 11th overall.

    Leading the Falcons at the Nike Cup was junior Jane Hwang, who notched three top-15 finishes. Hwang took seventh place in the 100 free, eighth place in the 200 IM and 15th in the 100 butterfly. Hwang currently ranks seventh in the MWC in the 100 free, eighth in the 200 IM and 10th in the 200 free.

    Scouting the Bears...
    The Northern Colorado swimming team is coming off a third-place finish at the World of Champions meet, hosted by IUPUI.

    Leading the Bears at the World of Champions meet was Nan Liu, who captured first place in the 100 and 200 butterfly, as well as the 100 backstroke. Meanwhile, Katie Schmidt finished first in the 200 free and Tori Gutt took first in the 200 breaststroke.

    Up Next...
    The Air Force men's and women's swimming and diving teams are back in action on Jan. 4, as they head out to the West Coast. The men will visit UC San Diego, while the women take on San Diego State in dual action.
