Women's Swimming Finishes Seventh at Minnesota Invitational

    The women's team finished seventh in the 12-team Minnesota Invitational with 175.50 points. National power Notre Dame won the event with 1,039 points. Wisconsin was second with 711.50 and host Minnesota was third with 608.

    Freshman Jessica Williams was outstanding, winning the platform diving competition with a school-record 384.55 points. Junior Sarah Law finished third in the platform diving with 374.60 points. Law also finished eighth in the one-meter diving with 204.40 points.

    The women's team doesn't compete again until Jan. 5 at the UC Irvine Invitational. The team doesn't compete at home again until Jan. 11 when Denver comes to town. Following the event vs. DU, the Falcons close out the home schedule against Brigham Young, Jan. 24, and Utah, Jan. 26.
