Junior Kim Davis was named Air Force athletics co-Athlete of the Week for competition during the week of Oct. 7-13. Davis led Air Force women's swimming & diving to a thrilling 154-146 come-from-behind win over Kansas Saturday afternoon at the Cadet Natatorium.
Davis won three events and was part of the second-place 200 medley group. The Brentwood, Tenn., native won the 200 free with a time of 1:52.99 and the 200 breast by over three seconds with a time of 2:20.17. Davis also won the 200 medley by over two seconds with a time of 2:06.90. Her win in the 200 IM pulled the Falcons to within one point with one event to go. The Falcons won the final event of the night, the 400 free relay, to rally to the win.
Davis shared co-athlete of the week honors with Zachary Modly of Air Force men's soccer. Modly scored two goals and added an assist as the Falcon men went 1-0-1 over the weekend.
